Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the repair, maintenance, and installation of marine equipment and systems. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Duties:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on marine engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Install, test, and repair marine equipment such as navigation systems, communication devices, and safety equipment
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate installation and alignment of components
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Rig boats for transport or storage as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of marine systems
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and tools
- Familiarity with electrical systems in marine environments
- Experience with sheet metal work is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
